Our client, a leader in its field, is looking for an electrical technician.

Main responsabilities :
Electrical technicians install, maintain, calibrate, test, locate and repair electrical materials and controls, and related electronics. They can work independently or offer technical support and services in design, tuning, testing, production and operation of electrical and electronic material and systems, and this in a competent and safe manner.

Consult manuals, electrical schematics and manufacturers diagrams in order to establish measuring and pressure level, power, chemical and other control instrument testing methods during manufacturing and processing;
Check instruments and systems operation using pneumatic, electric, and electronic devices, and other precision measuring instruments in order to detect any defects;
Repair and set system components such as detectors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts. PLC programming;
Calibrate components and instruments as per the manufacturer’s instructions;
Install control and measuring instruments on new or already used equipment, and integrate them to the processes; Consult and advise industrial process operators;
Participate in the design, electrical drawings, tuning and testing of electric and electronic components, materials and systems;
Help with the inspection, testing, adjustment and evaluation of electrical, electromechanical and electronic components and assemblies in order to ensure they conform to standards and tolérances;
Help prepare estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports;
Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, using hand tools and power Tools;
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using testing equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct;
Connection and fitting up electrical installation low and middle voltage single-phase and three-phase 600 VAC;
Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards with defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with code;
Implement preventive maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records;
Install, maintain and calibrate, if necessary, industrial instruments and related systems;
Install, check, repair and modify the building electrical system;
Keep a clean and organized work station;
Participate in the continuous improvement of work procedures and equipment through our OHSAS 18001 & ISO 9001 programs;
Follow OHSAS 18001 & ISO 9001 procédures;
At all times, work in a safe manner within the workplace.

Requirements :
Electro technical college degree or equivalent, in a field recognized by the company;
Hold an Offsite Electrical Qualification Certificate (C Class) with 10 years of experience;
Autonomous; Capable of working without technical directions or supervision;
Be knowledgeable of PLCs & Operator Interface (HMI);
Capable of working with complex controls and programs of PLCs;
Be knowledgeable of Siemens & Allen-Bradley drives;
Be knowledgeable of Fanuc robots;
Electrical installation, Programming (Controller, teach pendant) Good troubleshooting abilities;
Be knowledgeable of the Canadian Electrical Code;
Conform to ISO 9001 / OHSAS 18001 requirements and to CSA Z142 presses safety code;
Be IT knowledgeable (MS Office, Visio);
Good team worker;
Capable of interpreting and following verbal and written instructions;
Capable of using measuring instruments;
Good physical condition in order to move components using particular Equipment;
Take training courses during employment.
