 Job Overview

 We are currently looking for a highly motivated, flexible and experienced Scrum Master, who will report to the Development Manager.  The ideal candidate will lead the transition development teams to SCRUM.  The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all activities assigned to the Scrum team are performed in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest quality of performance. This role is execution focused, and will play a key role in the driving of teams and project deliverables in a matrix environment while operating in an agile framework.  Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage/lead the transformation of development teams to Agile/Scrum
  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects across multiple teams
  • Coordinate planning and execution to ensure cost, time, and quality goals are met.
  • Support agile processes/methodologies.
  • Facilitate day to day team interactions, remove roadblocks, and support team members.
  • Conduct all Scrum related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospective, and product demos.
  • Interface with personnel and product owners on an active basis to manage product backlogs and sprint activities
  • Remove obstacles and manage risks to enable team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing, and leverage metrics to continuously improve the team’s efficiency and performance
  • Liaise between product management, developers, testers and business stakeholders to foster quality communication
  • Provide appropriate oversight on the team’s progress to ensure delivery is on time
  • Ensure all scrum activities are tracked, and kept up-to-date, and reported on a daily basis
  • Ensure product quality and timeliness of efforts

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive experience in Agile transformation
  • Ability to apply Scrum estimation techniques to software development efforts
  • Ability to identify and manage risk
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, project planning, people and team building skills
  • Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience with JIRA and JIRA Agile is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing or performing IT development projects using an Agile/Scrum approach
