Software Developer Full Stack
Reports to: Director of Software Development

Works with: Development, QA, Services, Sales, Product Management, UX

Level: New Graduate
Our full stack software developers play a key role in all aspects of our software stack with a special focus on extending Klipfolio’s ability to connect with external data sources. The successful candidate should be comfortable developing in Java, Javascript and working with third-party APIs, and services.
Responsibilities:

  • Implement new end-to-end features including front-end and back-end
  • Implement new connectors and extend the capabilities of the connector framework.
  • Research third-party APIs and services.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success and QA teams to resolve customer issues
  • Work closely with UX team and think like a user

Required Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Java
  • Comfortable writing front-end code including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of consuming web services (REST/SOAP/RPC) and data returned from them (XML,JSON,CSV)
  • Comfortable making connections to various databases using JDBC
  • A degree in Computer Science or related STEM program
  • Ideally the equivalent of at least 1 year of hands-on development experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to Groovy and Grails
  • Exposure to jQuery
  • Experience with common web service authentication schemes such as Basic Auth, OAuth1/2, SAML, OpenID, etc.
  • Experience using low-level tools to troubleshoot connectors: tcpdump, wireshark, curl, etc.
  • Experience developing web applications using MVC frameworks such as Grails, Rails, SpringMVC, etc.
