Job DescriptionJob Description Working closely with the game designer, lead artists and illustrators, the Animator is responsible for animating games in keeping with established scenario parameters, and in accordance with the creative director’s artistic objectives. The animator and the entire production team must maintain a shared vision for the direction of the final product. The animator must respect production deadlines and demonstrate a sense of responsibility by ensuring the visual consistency of his animations. We are seeking an Animator who has a keen artistic sense, attention to detail, creativity and in-depth knowledge of animation principles. The incumbent will have the ability to meet specific demands and will be eager to propose alternatives and ideas. This position requires discipline, excellent organizational skills and a solid work methodology. The successful candidate will enjoy teamwork and be open to criticism. Perseverant, self-sufficient and flexible, the animator will strive to deliver superior results. Essential Skills * Thorough knowledge of animation principles. * Ability to optimize media using current technology. * Skilled at bringing characters to life. * Ability to respect delivery deadlines. * Simple approach for communicating concepts and ideas. * Capable of quickly learning how to use new software and of maintaining current knowledge. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Technical rigour. * Strong creative potential. * Demonstrated organizational skills. Also considered an asset * Ability to use After Effects. * Skilled in using Unity. * Comfortable with 3ds Max. * Bilingualism. Working Conditions * Permanent position with benefits. * 35 hours per week, no overtime. * Potential salary: to be discussed based on experience. * Date of hire: As soon as possible. Qualifications * University degree or College diploma (DEC) in animation (or any other related field). * At least two years’ experience in cut-out animation.
