Soccer instructor for à la carte program

This is a Part-Time position in Montréal, QC posted August 6, 2018.



Do you love soccer and is it your passion? Do you enjoy working with children? Why don’t you take the opportunity to join our organization as a soccer instructor? We are looking for a reliable, energetic, enthusiastic soccer instructor to teach children from 6 – 12 years of age. You need to know the fundamentals and you must be ready to motivate the children. You have to adhere to Canada’s Soccer Pathway values while improving the children’s fitness level in a recreational, safe, and fun environment.



  • Prepare activity plans on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Motivate and encourage students.
  • Restore order to the soccer field.
  • Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviour to supervisor.
  • Adhere to the YMCA’s Child Protection Policies and Procedures.
  • Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy in his post and in the Association and participate in activities / fundraising events.



  • Experience in teaching soccer (age-appropriate).
  • Experience teaching or coaching young children.
  • Knowledge of Canada’s Soccer Pathway values.
  • CPR required or in the process of acquiring.
  • Have no criminal record in connection with employment.

  • Able to incorporate Canada’s Soccer Pathway values into activities and drills
  • Able to motivate students, especially the ones with very little or no previous soccer/team sports experience
  • Able to multitask and to be detail-oriented
  • Able to give simple, clear instructions
  • Have strong leadership skills while maintaining a fun environment
  • Energetic, enjoy working with children
  • Patient and positive
