Accounting Secretary

Telecommuting in hybrid formula, a 35 hour per week schedule AND a work team that advocates urban life, cycling and has the environment at heart! As an administrative assistant, your work organization, your rigor and your flexible attitude will shine within this firm.

Our client, an architectural firm in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, is looking for a versatile and professional person, with a quick wit, to fill an accounting secretary position with accounting and administrative responsibilities.

Your role is to ensure the day-to-day administration of the office:

  • Perform daily business accounting.
    • Management of accounts payable and receivable.
    • Invoicing by projects.
    • Bank reconciliation.
    • GST and QST report.
    • Application of dividends.
  • Write and review various documents and correspondence.
  • Prepare service offerings.
  • Carry out an administrative monitoring of ongoing projects.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Follow up on professional insurance renewal and complete required forms with architects.
  • Participate in various internal projects (set up an Excel file for accounting follow-up of projects, research to implement group insurance, etc.).
  • Carry out any other similar tasks.

  • DVS in Secretariat/Accounting or DCS in Administrative Techniques.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Simple Accounting/Sage.
  • Excellent proficiency in French, spoken and written.
  • English language (an asset).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a position with accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Administrative experience in an engineering or architecture firm (an asset).
