Accounting Technician

Sergic Québec, a rapidly growing real estate management organization, is currently looking for an Accounting Technician to help manage their client portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the main duties and responsibilities are:

• Perform the bookkeeping for the Condo Associations that are managed by the organization
• Data entry for current transactions in the accounting software
• Produce month end journal entries and perform end of cycle related activities
• Perform activities in the complete accounting cycle, including account reconciliation
• Produce GST/QST reports as needed
• Participate in the preparation of the financial statements
• Respond to questions from external auditors
• All other related tasks as required

Qualifications :

• College diploma in accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with activities related to the complete accounting cycle
• Knowledge of an accounting software
• Basic knowledge of fiscal laws
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Strong knowledge of French, both written and spoken
• Functional knowledge of English in order to adequately serve the organizations clients who may be unilingual anglophone
