Reporting directly to the president, the Director of Finance will be a critical member of the senior leadership team with direct influence over the company’s strategic direction.Strategic ResponsibilitiesReview and determine the long and short term strategic objectives.Review and determine the long and short term financial objectives.Monitor the present and future capital requirements of the corporation.Leadership ResponsibilitiesModel, teach and promote positivity, optimism and enthusiasm throughout the organization.Coach, train and mentor the administration team.Functional ResponsibilitiesRisk ManagementManaging credit department.Managing trading/speculative risk.Managing contractual risk.

Review programs and import contracts.Managing credit/liability/transportation insurance.Maintain and enhance internal fiscal controls and safeguards.ForecastingCash flow sensitivity analysis.Set budget and monitor vs.

actual.Build and maintain profit modelsFinance and analysisNegotiate credit facility and fee structures with lenders.Manage relationship with lenders.Manage all banking functions.Provide financial analysis as needed with respect to capital investments, contract negotiations and pricing decisions.Provide timely and accurate sales margin and volume analysis and reporting by product line, customer segment and geographical areas.AdministrationManage administration team.Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Day to day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial related activities of the company.Manage accounts payable.Manage accounts receivables.Manage inventory.Manage payroll/commissions.Manage import/export documentation.Manage office space.Information TechnologyManage, monitor and assess IT requirements and suppliers.ERPImplement and optimize ERP.Automate commission calculations.Streamline A/R, A/P, inventory management.Compliance/ReportingMaintain and insure tax and regulatory compliance in all operating jurisdictions.Design and optimize daily dashboards.Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements.Human ResourcesWork closely with president to monitor and communicate overall human resources policies and procedures.Design compensation agreements.QualificationsUndergraduate degree in accounting, business or finance.A CA or CPA designation.Minimum 5 years industry experience in a senior financial role.Minimum 5 years experience working with an ERP.Proven track record of driving exceptional financial results.
