Head of Finance and Administration in Toronto, Ontario, CanadaJob Responsibilities of the Head of Finance and AdministrationA multi generation single Family Office, based in Toronto, Canada is looking for a Head of Finance and Administration to join their team for the family affairs administration for an ultra high net worth family with diverse business and investment interests across North America.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancePrepare annual and regularly updated budgets/forecasts and cash flow for family members.Prepare net worth statements.Diligence and support the execution of new investments via 3rd party and internal investment managers.Monitor and analyze ongoing financial and operational performance of portfolio investments.Prepare detailed fund performance reporting both in both quantitative and qualitative form.Oversee inter-family/corporate payments and transactions.Support family members in assessing significant purchases e.G.

properties, vehicles, renovation project and non-investment financial transactions.Liaise with external auditors, and be the main point of contact.Active participation at the oversight committee.Preparing and making power point presentations.Oversee the executive and administrative assistants for the Personal Financial Planning duties.BankingSupervision of the banking operations.Monthly reconciliation of banking statements.Cash management.InsuranceReview insurance needs and costs, evaluate brokers’ performance annually and work with same to secure prudent and cost-effective insurance coverages.TaxLiaise with Tax Advisors and coordinate/oversee tax filings for each family member.OtherOccasional travel.Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree and CPA qualification required.MBA, CFA, CFP and CBV designation an asset.15 years work experience including 5 years of private family office experience.Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset.Experience with federal and provincial government (Ontario & Quebec) reporting and regulatory requirements.Knowledge of RRSPs, other retirement vehicles, and personal tax planning would be an asset.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Value proximity interactions and to always have in mind the best interests with the family members.Must be a quick study and comfortable with working autonomously and remotely.Ability to multi-task across a variety of responsibilities.Comfortable to address urgent and/or last-minute inquiries, including potential for those out side of normal operating hours.Demonstrated ability to consolidate and distill large amounts of data into succinct written or verbal communications.Able to establish and develop relationships with the principals (stakeholder), advisors and colleagues.Ability to engage with individuals across multiple generations.Must be highly motivated, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team of professionals.Job SalaryCompetitive, according to experience.Job Additional InformationWork days: Monday to Friday (flexibility required).Remote work: Yes.Benefits: Standard corporate benefits provided.Vacation: 3 weeks.Job Starting DateAs soon as possible.Job Contact InformationNicolas Marion, Private Staffing SpecialistPhone: 416.907.9618 ext.
