Financeit is small enough that you can make an impact within the company, and large enough to make an impact in market.About the role:We’re looking to hire a seasoned Senior Manager of Recovery and Collections to own all Recovery strategies and initiatives and increase Collections effectiveness through vetting, onboarding and managing third-party vendors.

The Senior Manager of Recovery and Outsourcing will be responsible for managing the entire post-write off collections process and to come up with new and inventive ways to maximize recoveries.

The job entails the design and implementation of recovery strategies including but not limited to: Legal collections, repossessions, settlements, champion/challenger testing, primary/secondary/tertiary vendor selections, reporting development and monitoring, debt sales, etc.

The Senior Manager of Recovery and Outsourcing will onboard and manage agencies and 3rd party vendors, audit vendor process and controls and mine for all opportunities for the business to gain collections efficiencies through outsourcing.

The Collections team is dedicated to helping our customers get back on track with payments or find the most suitable solution for the customer while minimizing loss for our businessWhat you’ll do:Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to the Collections team and the rest of Operations.Manage all aspects of collections post write-offOwn the Recoveries roadmap (strategy development and implementation)Platform design and effectivenessControl mapping and monitoringBusiness analysis, reporting and data analyticsOversee the Agency and 3rd party collections process including repossessionsEstablish effective recovery policies and proceduresPrepare monthly reporting on recovery rates and KPIsDevelop and execute legal strategyTrain and develop the agencies and other third-party vendors to drive continuous improvementRequirements10 years collections industry experience5 years of management experienceExperience in data analysis and report buildingExperience designing Recovery strategies and implementationExperience designing collections platforms and 3rd party integrationsBusiness case analysis5 years in consumer lending (preferably in Home Improvement)5 years in vehicle, sport or marine lendingBilingual (English/French) preferred but not requiredExpert in the full cycle of delinquency managementStrong communication and negotiation skillsExperience managing collections agencies (including audit)Experience with late stage collections (repossessions and legal)BenefitsWinner of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Culture in 2018, we offer more than just the basics.
