With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.The Senior Analyst, Credit Risk Solutions, is responsible for the design, rollout and maintenance of business solutions within the current and new risk-rating systems.

Moreover, he/she takes an active role in handling maintenance and upgrade requests specific to the Credit business unit’s corporate data warehouse (CDW) and Credit Data Mart (CDM).

He/she advises managers regarding the implementation of solutions designed to maximize the efficiency of credit management operations with respect to credit granting, client management and collection.

He/she takes part in the creation and implementation of reports and solutions designed to improve credit risk monitoring and analysis.

The incumbent also serves as a data expert in connection with implementing internal ratings-based (IRB) approaches for credit risk as per Basel Accord requirements.ResponsibilitiesºDesign, develop and prepare various reports, circulars and other documents, some of them intended for senior management.ºServe as a leader in continuous monitoring of environment data quality, and implement quality controls, among other ways by supporting the implementation of internal ratings-based (IRB) approaches.ºRecommend systems-related orientations with a major impact on advanced internal rating-based (AIRB) accreditation of the Bank by the regulatory authorities.ºIdentify clients’ needs, analyze and interpret various requests and propose appropriate solutions.ºParticipate in documenting business needs and defining functional specifications.

ºDesign analyses and participate in developing, maintaining and upgrading information systems, making optimum use of available information tools and sources.ºOffer business and technology advice as part of the data warehouse upgrade process.ºGuide technology decisions to ensure DataMart development is aligned with the business unit’s objectives.ºPrepare and deploy specifications and test plans for various developments and changes, analyze the results obtained and make the necessary changes together with internal and external clients.ºUpdate systems by processing.ºAnalyze various incidents, propose solutions to irregularities and make recommendations to improving existing processes.
