Manufacturing: Accounting Manager


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted September 23, 2020.

Montreal (West Island) company is seeking a talented, self-motivated and hands-on individual to join as an Accounting Manager:Reporting to the CFO your responsibilities will include:Responsibilities:Coordination of the accounting effort including invoicing, A/R, A/P, payroll and Inventory ManagementManage the month end and year end close processes, with the preparation and publishing of timely financial statements, including account reconciliations, variance analysis and commentaryManage inter-company transactions and reconciliation processProvide cash management and inter-company transfers for group of companies.

Monitor cash balances and assist with preparation of cashflow projectionsBank and debt covenant calculations (monthly, quarterly, annually)Have a vital role in the budget and forecast processes, by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plansAchieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actionsCoordinate year end audit and other reviewsPrepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsManage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsEnsure compliance with government remittances including GST/QST/HST and corporate tax instalmentsReview of journal entries, accruals, prepaids accounts, amortization and allocationsQualifications:5 years of experience in a similar positionStrong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf motivated, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlinesProficient in Office with advanced Excel skillsExperience with Sage 50 accounting program an asset
