ABOUT YOUR ROLE As a Senior Director Responsible Investment, Private Markets you’ll be part of the Responsible Investment group within the Office of our Chief Investment Officer.In your role, you’ll:be expected to play an active role in the activities of the Responsible Investment group with a focus on environmental and social factors and private market investments (private equity, infrastructure, real estate, natural resources and private credit investments)lead the team of professionals responsible for the integration of ESG factors in the investment activities and monitoring thereof of PSP Investments’ private market investmentslead the development and maintenance of tools to ensure that ESG considerations are adequately integrated in the investment and monitoring activities of PSP Investments’ private market investmentsoversee and actively contribute to ESG related research on public and private companiesprovide advice to the private market investment groups and senior management on ESG matterssupport the implementation of PSP Investments’ corporate view on climate change and provide advice on climate change related emerging trends and best practicesactively participate in corporate engagement activities both directly and through collaborative initiatives with other investors, andlead pre-identified corporate initiatives such as the development of corporate views of on environmental and social considerations, and the reporting on our activities both internally and to the public WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomyEffective communications skills in French and English, both written and spoken.Demonstrated ability to build trust and productive long-term internal and external relationshipsStrong leadership skills including the ability to effectively develop and communicate analysis, views, and strategies and to influence actionDemonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added researchAttention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentationAbility to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clientsEagerness to learn, ideate and innovateDrive to pursue excellence and challenge the status quo to seek out alternative perspectivesOpen-mindedness and active listening skillsA respect for differences of opinion and an inclusive mindset WHAT YOU’LL NEED Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, environment or sustainability related disciplineSustainable Investment Professional Certification Program (SIPC) or equivalent, an assetMinimum of fifteen (15) years of experience related to investment management, ESG advisory services or corporate sustainability5+ years of demonstrated experience in ESG integration in investment with a focus on environmental and social mattersDemonstrated experience in portfolio company engagement on ESG related mattersFluent in French and English, both written and spokenPSP Investments is an equal opportunity employer.
