Position Senior Financial Analyst (18 month contract) Montreal, Canada [#665] Location Montreal Canada Education Level Bachelor’s Degree Employment Type Contractor Function Corporate Affairs Description18 month contract, with possibility of permanent positionReporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will be a key asset in the future growth of the company.

This individual will be leading the FP&A Department and will be spear-heading the Company’s annual budgeting process, financial quarterly forecast, operating plan variance analysis and special projects.

He/she will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management.

This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead the execution of the annual budget among with regional and corporate budget ownersEnsure a rigorous budgetary check points in order to meet financial and organisational objectivesOversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling toolsPrepare and analyse quarterly and monthly financial reporting packages (regional VPs, bank, board, audit committee)Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected varianceAnalyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expendituresAnalyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations supporting decision makingSupporting Executive Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysisIn collaboration with the Corporate Controller, planning and financial analysis, simplify, standardise and automate reliable internal financial processes and systems and maintain relevant cost control measuresAd-Hoc Reporting and AnalysisRequirementsDegree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

CPA is an assetExperienced: 5 years experience in similar or equivalent roles.

Experience in international multi-site environmentsMultilingual: Fluent in English and French written & spoken.
