Salary(Grade:10) Hiring salary range $70347-$88,861 Position Purpose Acts as a resource person for financial planning by carrying out analyses and making recommendations to support decision making.

Monitors and controls the financial activities of funds under the incumbent’s responsibility to ensure they comply with the policies, guidelines and regulations of the University and funding agencies.

Essential Qualifications University degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMinimum five years of demonstrated experience in a similar roleProfessional accounting accreditation an assetKnowledge of business administration processes and practices, including financial planning and budgetingKnowledge of financial planning principles, policies, procedures and practicesThorough knowledge of the administrative structure and governance of a large organization, preferably in a university settingSupervisory experience an assetAutonomy and discretionCritical and analytical thinkingKnowledge and experience using computer systems and software such as Windows, financial systems, spreadsheets, databases, the internet and emailBilingualism English and French (spoken and written) Key Competencies Key competencies required at the University of Ottawa:Planning: Organize in time a series of actions or events in order to realise an objective or a project.
