Automated Test Developer

National Bank

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 13, 2023.

A career as an Automated Test Developer in the Corporate Data team at National Bank means acting as an accelerator to enable the team to deliver high-quality solutions in production at a sustained pace to offer a positive experience to our clients. It is through your skills in automated test development, your experience in Java programming and your knowledge of tools such as Jmeter or Postman that you participate in the realization of various large-scale IT projects that have a significant impact on the profitability and efficiency of the Bank and that require high-level expertise and experience in the following DevOps practices.

Your job:
  • Support the planning and global integration of automated and manual testing activities
  • Develop application testing PLCs with our frameworks integrated with continuous testing (CT)
  • Design and run manual tests as needed
  • Propose and influence the definition and evolution of QA practices and processes
  • Participate in the implementation of test automation tools in a DevOps context and recommend appropriate tools
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and timeliness while managing risk

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree related to the sector of activity or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and automated test development
  • Mastery of one or more popular object-oriented programming language(s): Java /.Net)
  • Working with tools like Postman, Jmeter
  • Practice of a development environment (Eclipse, IntelliJ, IDEA).
  • Good knowledge of APIs or microservices, as well as formats such as XML, json
  • Experience in a data warehouse environment is an asset
  • •Experience with data manipulation and transformation tools is an asset
  • Solution delivery experience in Agile mode.
  • Mastery of SDLC and project delivery methods
  • Be rigorous, detail-oriented and have teamwork skills
  • Bilingual (French/English)
