Commercial Collection Account Manager

National Bank

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 13, 2023.

A career as a Commercial Collection Account Manager in the Subprime Loan Management Department at National Bank means acting as a collection expert in the management of a corporate financing portfolio. It’s through your customer service skills, negotiation skills and risk management experience that you have a positive impact on the Bank’s credit loss reduction and customer experience.  

Your job: 

  • Assess risk and develop collection strategies for defaulted/deteriorating loans
  • Coordinate collateral realization 
  • Maintain effective communications and negotiate terms of agreements with various stakeholders
  • Monitor the quality of the portfolio under management
  • Act as an expert for the Bank’s various sectors
  • Promote a win-win customer approach

Your team : 

As part of the Subprime Loan Management Department, you will be part of a team of 8 colleagues. Our team stands out for its expertise, proactivity, knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Prerequisites: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, accounting or other industry-related field and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of insolvency matters
  • Experience as a lawyer OR as an accountant specializing in insolvency OR experience as a Commercial Account Manager OR in commercial credit risk management
  • Knowledge of commercial products, collateral and processes
  • Negotiation skills, agility and customer focus
  • Creativity and collaborative spirit
