Human Resources Technician

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 21, 2022.

The company is looking for a Human Resources technician to complete its team

What we offer:

Permanent position – full time
Schedule: Mondays – Thursdays: 7:30 till 4:45
Fridays: 7:30 till 12:20
Complete group insurance after 3 months probation
Day of birthday off and paid

Your responsibilities are:

  • Answer employee questions;
  • Welcome candidats or employees;
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources;
  • Verify and enter data or information, sort and file documents;
  • Answer calls when the director is not available or absent;
  • Support the director with different tasks;
  • Greet people who come to the human resources department;
  • Welcome candidates that come to apply ( ask for their resumé);
  • Receive and sort all the incoming mail, dedicated to the HR department;
  • Prepare punch cards for all the employees;
  • Send and receive faxes;
  • Fill out the forms required to do the salary equity maintenance, salary wages etc…;
  • Maintain new procedures for CTPAT ( security company);
  • Prepare in advance the files for work related accidents;
  • Verify the first aid kits (every 2 months, plant and office);
  • Correct all time sheets of employees, every monday;
  • Put the pay stub in envelopes and give to the supervisors on thursdays;
  • Prepare memos and letters;
  • Post available jobs on the internet;
  • Correct all templates and standardize them;
  • Prepare files for new employees;
  • All other tasks asked by your supervisor.

Requirements and qualifications needed:

  • Have 3 – 5 years appropriate experience;
  • Must be fully bilingual, french/english, written/spoken;
  • Have discretion and understand the meaning of confidentiality;
  • Able to multitask;
  • Able to manage priorities;
  • Available to do overtime when necessary;
  • Able to work under pressure;
  • Be organized and resourceful;
  • Do good follow ups.
