Senior analyst institutional markets

Being a Senior Analyst institutional markets and pension plans means acting as a trusted professional within the team by carrying out rigorous analyzes for our retirement plans, supporting our portfolio manager in operations transactional, controlling various operational activities and supporting the optimization of our processes. 

Your job:

  • Assist in the daily operations of our group retirement plan team
  • Act as a resource person for members of the group retirement plan team
  • Be able to do an in-depth analysis of financial conditions and recommend solutions and alternatives
  • Act as a resource person for team members by supporting them and helping them respond to complex customer requests
  • Develop and implement control mechanisms to ensure the quality of processes, operations or services offered
  • Monitoring daily operations in line with our rules and business processes (deposits, withdrawals, cash management, transfer requests)
  • Carry out debit/credit transactions under the supervision of the portfolio manager, identify deposits and withdrawals requiring portfolio interventions
  • Under the supervision of the portfolio manager, make proposals for the purchase and sale of transferable securities with a view to aligning the portfolios with their investment policy.
  • Ensure the production of reports and analyzes aimed at supporting the daily management of portfolios
  • Participate in business sector transformation projects
  • Responsible for internal and external monitoring

Your team:

You report directly to the Vice President, Institutional Markets and work closely with the Retirement plans team and our portfolio manager.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, actuarial science or a related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Holding the License for Group insurance and group annuity plans advisor issued l’Autorité des marchés financiers or being in the process of obtaining it is an asset
  • Securities trading course and standards of conduct manual, an asset
  • First level of completed CFA or CIM, an asset
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and investment products
  • Spirit of analysis and synthesis, curiosity, autonomy and sense of initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team
  • Attention to detail and rigor
  • Propensity to offer rapid and efficient service to the customers concerned
  • Mastery of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) French and English essential
