Site Supervisor (Asset Management)

As a member of the Capital Repositioning Team, the site supervisor will assist in coordinating and managing multi-residential repositioning projects in Ontario and/or Quebec including ongoing unit renovations. The site superintendent will assist the repositioning manager in ensuring projects are completed within a specific timeframe and on budget, through proper planning and implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate site access, schedules, and proper project documentation including preparation of project status report to ensure effective communication and project progress.
• Set up and coordinate internal and external data management folders for internal and external reference.
• Monitor progress against committed timelines, and manage, communicate and help resolve any project deficiencies.
• Daily monitoring of trades to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, and effective communication with operations team throughout process.
• Ensuring safety for residents, staff, and contractors through active site management and monitoring protocols in place (internal, external)
• Assist repositioning manager with value engineering and ongoing troubleshooting of building issues.
• Assist in the organization of weekly meetings as requested and prepare minutes in coordination with repositioning manager.
• Ensure the cost-effective management of all processes related to the projects including controlled access sites and on-floor raw material, work in process, and finished components.
• Actively work towards achieving a 30 days’ renovation cycle, which could involve sourcing and creating material inventory to mitigate lead times, and/or self-performing when required.
• Continuously improve cost reduction initiatives
• Complete pre-construction and construction walk-throughs with contractors
• Oversee new vendor registration process

Requirements

• On site multifamily repositioning experience would be an asset.
• Engineering or architectural background would be an asset, along with construction/project management degree (certification).
• Experience in space conversion projects.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Driven and self-motivated individual
• Works well in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (French and English)
• Superior organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
