DFS technical support technician – dispatch – break/fix – 053096

This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted December 3, 2019.

Job Description We are currently hiring for a contract DFS Technical Support Technician Dispatch Break/Fix role in Montreal, QC.

We are looking for candidates experienced with Vlans, network protocols and routers.

The ideal candidate would have good communication skills and be customer friendly.

This is approximately a 2 month contract, however this is CONTRACT-TO-HIRE.This will be a full time opportunity offering 40 hours per week.

Scheduled times will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Occasional overtime maybe required.Compensation: $22.00 $25.00 per hourTechnical Support Technician Dispatch Break/Fix responsibilities:Candidate must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLA’s).Technician maybe site based or may require travel to different client’s locations.Will perform troubleshooting of Routers, Switches and connectivity in the client’s local environment.

Resolve issues with network infrastructure and/or components.Equipment covered includes server support, and network smart handsRepair and maintenance of computer equipment (PC, Laptops, Laser printers, color and multi-functions)Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs Desktop, Laptop, Server and PrinterRequirements:Bilingual in English & FrenchCustomer service experience1 years plus supporting Desktops, Laptops and Printers1 years plus with customer service experienceWorking knowledge of windows 7 and 10.Able to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekendsProvides ideas and solutions to prevent problems and support incidents from recurringValid driver’s license and vehicle.

Must be able to drive 30% within a radius of 120 KMSmart phone with tethering/hot spot capabilities (Reimbursed within Corporate Guidelines)Ability to work on a ladder of lift and are able to lift up to 50 lbsNice to Have:CCNA certification.CompTia Server +.CompTia Network +.College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or information technologies.Major OEM Server Warranty Certifications.CLI experience for Cisco / HP IOS.Switch/Router Configuration Experience.If you are interested or would like more information for the DFS Technical Support Technician Dispatch Break/Fix in, Montreal, QC or other MBI Inc.
