We are a manufacturer of innovative industrial components, proud builders of the technology of tomorrow.Position SummaryMatrox Imaging is seeking an Applications Support/QA technician for their headquarters located in Montreal Canada.

As a leading developer of component-level solutions for machine vision, image analysis, and medical imaging, Matrox Imaging has provided products and technical support worldwide to our clients.

Products include frame grabbers, vision processors, imaging computers, industrial and smart cameras, and application development software.As an Applications Support / QA Technician for the Imaging division, your primary tasks will be:Support our customer base through telephone and e-mail to help them properly install and program Matrox hardware and software products; Assist customers with a large variety of questions about programming (mainly de-bugging), video technology, PC compatibility testing and image processing; Perform basic and extended tests of our Imaging Library, driver, software utilities, applications and custom software requests; Communicate problems to the engineering department and conduct a follow-up with customers and sales department when a solution is available.QualificationsYou have completed a DEC in computer science or systems, or any other related field; Good knowledge of PC architecture and all Windows operating systems; Knowledge of Linux is an asset; Very goodknowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, C, C++ and C# programming languages; Have interest for designing user interfaces; Very goodknowledge with GUI development APIs, such as .NET Framework, Java Platform, MFC, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF); Knowledgeof different technologies XML, Perl, JavaScript, HTML, Java is an asset; Excellentknowledge of English, functional in French; The candidate must like to work in a dynamic, team spirited environment.
