Mechanical Designer

The challenge we offer you: Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, you will have to develop and prepare engineering models, sketches and drawings based on preliminary concepts, engineering calculations, specifications and other input data.

In addition, we will ask you, among other things, to: Operate a design and computer-assisted design station; Ensure integrability and manufacturability of concepts; Fill out the documentation and produce drawing sets; Ensure that drawings produced comply with specifications and other input data within deadlines; Prepare specifications as well as material and time cost estimates for the concepts; Analyze the different requirements or standards related to the fire, smoke and toxicity (FST) to be met in the various current or future contracts; Write technical documents necessary for the closure of the various customer deliverables (CDRL
– Contractual and Deliverable Requirements List); Draft and execute the various test procedures used to test and qualify the module (s); Monitor the evolution of the production of each of the modules or concepts; Participate in any other activity as defined in the associated business process.


Professionally Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Bilingual (French and English); Excellent technical knowledge of his field; Master basic notions of management and project management; Can write technical reports; Experience of 8 years and more in a similar position; Experience of 2-5 years in computer-aided design preferably SolidWork and/or Autocad; Experience of 2-5 years in the manufacturing sector of parts or cases mechanically welded and in folded sheets; Experience in designing and integrating components into public transit vehicles (an asset); Member of the O.I.Q.
