RESPONSABILITIES Review customer technical specification, identify relevant and applicable sections, select and prepare equipment and component specifications as required for instrumentation, control and protection panel fabrication; Preparation of key engineering documents such as instrumentation schematics and installation drawings, wiring diagrams, cable pathways including embedded conduits and blockouts in walls, bill of material (BOM), cable lists in relation to project technical specifications and applicable codes; Coordinate with the applicable engineering teams, the suppliers and the customers for the integration of instrumentation, control, protection and power systems with their applicable equipment; Participate in design review meetings internally and with the customer; Design instrumentation and control cabinets, marshalling and junction boxes within the scope of instrumentation and supervise the development of such documents required for manufacturing; Participate in the preparation of technical specifications and support the purchasing process by participating in the selection, negotiations and technical discussions with suppliers and sub-contractors; Participate in the preparation and documentation of test procedures and system validations and participate in factory and site acceptance tests (FATs & SATs); Provide technical support for on-site installation and commissioning activities of projects; Participate in installation and field commissioning of projects (site travel described below); Provide technical support to the sales team in preparing technical documentation and drawings for bids; Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing direct and indirect costs and improving design and execution process efficiency.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS College Technical Diploma or Attestation of Collegial Studies in Electrical Engineering (must); Experience in design ofinstrumentation, control and protection systems (asset); Experience in electrical power generation – hydro or other similar fields (asset); Working knowledge of AutoCAD (must) and ePlan (asset) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (ex.

Excel, Word, Project, etc.); Bilingual – French & English; Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and meet project and deliverable schedules; Willing and able to travel and participate in “on-site” work for surveys and system start-ups, mainly across Canada (10 to 30% of the time – duration varying from a couple of days to multiple weeks in association to project phases).
