Physiotherapist

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted September 21, 2022.

POSITION SCOPE: Responsible for assessments and therapeutic interventions for residents who have been referred for Physiotherapy services.

Serves as a resource and an educator for quality and risk management activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.

Carries out tasks and daily work following policies and procedures and job standards of Gables Lodge.

2.

Knowledgeable of fire regulations and emergency plan and is aware of his/her responsibilities in emergency situations.

3.

Identifies problems and goals for referred residents and formulates a treatment plan.

Communicates the plan and provides the necessary instruction to staff.

4.

Modifies and revises treatment plans as required.

5.

Completes and maintains progress notes.

6.

Consults and communicates with the Physio/Occupational Therapy Assistant, Nursing and Medical Personnel, and outside resources to meet resident’s needs.

7.

Provides education to facility staff as necessary.

8.

Recommends equipment that is required for therapeutic purposes.

9.

Maintenance of confidentiality concerning resident, employee and organizational data and information.

10.

Participates in relevant continuing education and applies principles that have been learned.

11.

Attends meetings as required.

12.

Reports any safety issues to the Unit Manager/Nursing Services Manager.
