Software Implementation Consultant – partially remote

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted January 4, 2022.

Harris Healthcare is seeking a resourceful Software Implementation Consultants to join our Professional Services team, installing our Flex Product. Supervised by senior consultants, you will have the opportunity to work in direct relationship with our clients in Québec to understand their workflow and configure the database according to their needs. Once you gain more experience, responsibilities will also include the following: system design, creation of project deliverables, training, and customer workflow design.

What your impact will be – initially:

  • Train on the Flex platform to develop in-depth knowledge of the system functionalities, user interface and database configuration.
  • Establish a professional relationship with the client, based on trust and collaboration.
  • Facilitate the requirements gathering of customer workflows to complete the system design.
  • Configure the Flex database according to client requirements.
  • Assist in the monitoring of project-related issues or escalations.
  • Assist in assessing impact of change requests for effort estimation and capacity planning purposes.
  • Forecast monthly work effort for assigned tasks.
  • Utilize a CRM system for issues tracking and resolution.

What your impact will be once experience is gained:

  • Work with the project team to ensure on time deliverables for the entire project.
  • Manage activities to produce successful results on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Design the system based on customer workflow.
  • Build response strategies and actions to address issues escalated by client.
  • Contribute to answering customer inquiries linked to the product and assist the client in expanding their use of Flex and other software solutions we offer.
  • Train the customers on the use of the software through a variety of platforms
  • Work with IT project teams and business units to help gather business requirements to aid in the design and development of software applications.
  • Understand and meet Business Unit goals with regards to implementation, revenue, and performance metrics.

What we are looking for:

  • Fluent bilingual – French and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree, graduate degree or equivalent experience in a clinical field.
  • Workflow experience in the Québec market.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle delicate situations.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products – including but not limited to Outlook, SharePoint, Word and Excel.
  • Must be willing to travel 30-40% to client sites – variable depending on the phases of the projects.
  • Must be a resident of Canada and preferably of Québec.

  • Experience in different healthcare settings in Québec.
  • Experience implementing clinical software in the Québec healthcare network.
  • Experience with multiple concurring projects with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with the Agile methodology.
  • Previous Flex (formerly known as QCPR) experience.
