Job Description:

Please note that this is a hybrid role, and you will be asked to come into the office in Montreal, Waterloo or Ottawa.

In this role, you will provide timely, knowledgeable, and accurate support within SLFD to assess, submit and renew life and mutual fund applications to provincial regulators. You will also work closely with internal compliance teams and provide technical and procedural advice to Advisors, District Directors, Financial Centre staff, Provincial Securities Commissions, and other business partners.

What will you do?

• Support Advisors, Managers, and Financial Centre staff with acquiring the educational proficiency requirements needed to apply for life licensing and mutual fund registration course enrolments
• Provide expertise and excellent customer service through handling inquires related to mutual fund registration from SLFD, provincial regulators, commission staff and other internal partners
• Process and assist with renewals for mutual fund registration for SLFD advisors and staff members
• Ensure current advisor and financial centre information is up to date and maintained on head office systems and regulator databases (AMF and NRD)
• Issue advisor agreements and rep codes for approved registrations
• Assist with mutual fund registration and licensing projects as needed

What you need to succeed?

• As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mutual funds and life insurance
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Exceptional customer service skills with strong ethics, confidentiality, and integrity
• Advanced time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively
• Ability to investigate and solve problems with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Results oriented team player

What will be nice to have?

• Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or equivalent is an asset
• System knowledge of NRD (National Registration Database) is an asset
• Knowledge of Sun Life Financial Distribution and Sun Life Dealer is an asset
