More than just a retailer, SSENSE is becoming a cultural protagonist in its own right.Job DescriptionReporting to the HR Operations Manager, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist manages operations and administrative functions related to payroll at SSENSE.

They are responsible for processing payroll, and administering employees changes and benefits in order to ensure that all employee data is accurately recorded into payroll and other HR systems.

They act as the main point of contact for inquiries related to payroll and benefits.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills and is customer-oriented.ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate processing of all payroll entries including new hires, status changes, terninations, records of employment, etc.Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the personnel database by processing new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations in the payroll system (ADP) and other HR systemsProcess benefits, such as group insurance, vacation, sick leave, parental leaves, etc.Act as the main point of contact for payroll and benefit inquiries and respond to employee payroll inquiries through the internal HR ticketing systemProvide regular onboarding training sessions to new employeesMaintain employee benefits and voluntary retirement savings plan information with external service providersCreate and run custom audit reports to verify overtime hours, accrued vacation, etc.Create, update, and maintain various payroll-related documentsEnsure compliance with current payroll related policies and processes to ensure data integrity and complianceDevelop and/or revamp payroll related policies and processes based on business needs Support the HR and Finance teams in various reporting requestsCollaborate in ongoing projects and support in additional functions, as neededQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related fieldPayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, an assetA minimum of 2-3 years experience with the full payroll cycle Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google SheetExperience with ADP and Workforce Now, an assetSolid knowledge of payroll employment standards in QuebecGood English and French written and verbal communication skillsSkillsHighly analytical and detail orientedExceptional organizational skills and ability to work independentlyAbility to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional mannerStrong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationshipsAbility to excel in a fast-paced environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines
