The Mainframe Modernization group is looking for ten (10) talented Java Software Developer Engineers to help build our customers’ next-generation critical systems. You will be collaborating with a team of experienced Engineers, Architecture Advisors, and DevOps Specialists to enable the customer’s go-live on the cloud using the latest modern architectures. In the process, you will have the opportunity to work as a full-stack developer on the latest version of Spring Boot, Angular, and Groovy. You will also integrate with complex external systems and use the latest engineering techniques with Aurora or RDS.

  • Code and debug Spring Boot and Angular complex systems to ensure high-functional integrity;
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize the code, and tune the database to ensure system-critical systems are meeting their nominal speed;
  • Identify engineering automation opportunities;
  • Work with exciting, cutting-edge technologies that enable our customers to migrate to the cloud;
  • Closely interact with the R&D teams, your manager, and the rest of the team to find innovative solutions to complex, technical problems;
  • Be responsible for coding, testing, and debugging modernized business workflows;
  • Integrate with external systems using REST, queuing systems, messaging systems, and many other techniques.

Does this sound like you?
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in software development;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented language—C# or Java—(knowledge of the standard data structures with an ability to write algorithms);
  • Skilled in RESTful API;
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases (ability to write simple DB queries);
  • The following qualifications are assets:
    • Master’s degree;
    • Experience in Java Spring Boot or .NET Core framework;
    • Previous experience working on a web application;
    • Experience in Angular or another JavaScript framework;
    • Selenium test coding experience.
  • Bilingualism is essential. Level expected:
    • French: 4/4
    • English: 4/4
