Java Team Lead

ALTEO

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 11, 2020.

Alteo is looking for a Java Team Lead for a permanent job based in Montreal.

Responsibilities:
– Build a brand new application (100% cloud
– new technologies) dedicated to pathologists who would like to sell their services (in the form of consultations) around the world.

It would allow, among other things, the downloading of images, a review of images and data and also a form of payment.

– Redo the interface of the whole old application with Bootstrap.

– Manage a small software development team
– Implementing accurate design specifications which meets product objectives and that are delivered within established time expectations
– Improving technical skills to provide better technical solutions to problems
– Demonstrating organized problem solving skills when technical issues occur
– Demonstrating initiative in improving the technical accuracy of software systems
– Following established development and quality assurance standards and policies
– Support the sales team in a technical role (pre-sales) Profile:
– BAC in software engineering, IT or the equivalent
– 10-15 years of experience as a Java Developer
– Strong knowledge in building user-friendly and efficient web user interface applications using Java technologies (JSP, Servlet, Webwork, Spring and Struts) and Ajax libraries with proven experience with common patterns.

– Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles using Java technologies
– Experience in software architecture Ability to analyze complex problems and provide high quality solutions with great attention to detail
– Ability to support the sales team (pre-sales)
– Ability to manage a small team
– Ability to work in an Agile environment (SCRUM, etc.).

– Good communication in English or French
