Professional Services Architect – Bilingual

The impact you will have:

The Professional Services Architect plays a very critical role and is a strong technical specialist possessing the ability to map technical solutions in multiple disciplines to business problems, provide innovative solutions to our clients most pressing needs, and influence delivery capability. You will be the face of Softchoice Professional Services to our biggest clients, and will be the technical lead for our largest projects.

For these projects, you will work with our clients in the pre-sales and delivery cycles to ensure we are meeting their current and future requirements. You will possess the business acumen to help clients understand how our technical solutions will enable their businesses to grow and become more efficient. You will have architecture delivery responsibilities for the project, with multiple engineers deploying the solutions that you help craft for our clients. Additionally, you will have primary lead responsibility for delivering initial engagements of new service offerings.

What you’ll do:

  • Customer Projects:
    • Assist in delivery of more complex engagements that may span multiple disciplines
    • Oversight and QA role on SOWs and client facing documentation
    • Work in concert with program/project manager(s) attached to the client to inform scope and estimates
    • Work in conjunction with System Engineers and Project Managers to plan and lead technical deployments
  • Quality and Capability: Influence delivery
    • Assess skillsets and identify knowledge gaps for Systems Engineers on your immediate team
    • Identify training or learning opportunities
    • Identify opportunities to increase delivery quality
    • Lead initiatives to continually increase overall team performance
  • Business Development: Presales Meetings, SOW peer review
    • QA role/Peer review may extend into all Statements of Work of a certain dollar value and/or with strategic clients
    • Work in conjunction with partners and client to ensure that technical solution architecture reflects business goals and can address business challenges
  • Business Alignment: Innovations, Sales and Presales
    • Align Professional Services delivery methodology
    • Actively contribute to Practices through work on special projects to develop new solutions, cross-practice offerings and delivery standards
    • Achieve external certifications in core field of expertise

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 7 years’ experience in a professional services capacity
  • Must be able to develop new service offerings and provide solutions to technical/business problems
  • Expert level skill and experience in the following:
    • SDA – Software defined architecture
    • ACI – Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure
    • DNAC – Dynamic Network Access Control
    • Cisco Networking (CCIE required)
  • Intermediate to Expert level skill and experience in one or more of the following technologies:
    • Hybrid IT – AWS/Azure
    • NSX-T, NSX-V
  • Travel up to 10% to multiple offices
  • Potential after-hours work
  • Post-secondary education, preferred
