As the pallets are loaded onto the trucks the 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator is responsible for checking the Bill of Lading and confirm that the label on each pallet has the correct courier name corresponding to the Bill of Lading and associated pick-up.

As the truck is being loaded the 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator should closely monitor each pallet as it is being loaded to verify the count of pallets matches the manifest.

After all pallets are loaded, the 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator will conduct a check around the floor to make sure no pallets are missing (whether dinner or breakfast) and provide the all-clear before the driver can leave the facility.

Confirm pallets meet all SOP’s.

In addition to checking that the right pallets are being loaded, the 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator shall verify the pallet construction meets our SOP’s (example, pallets are properly shrink-wrapped, pallets have proper labeling (that is clear and legible), there are no damaged or squished boxes and there are no loose boxes.

Monitor sorting on line changeovers.

As lines changeover, the 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator will oversee sorting efforts, ensuring that the right boxes are going on the proper pallets (and labeled correctly).

The 3rd Part Logistics Coordinator will serve as a policing arm, providing guidance / stern messaging to shipping employees not sorting properly.

Follow-up with partners.

The 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator will monitor the arrival and departure times of trucks in a G-sheet, following up with contacts (emergency list) if trucks do not arrive on time, and relaying information to logistics on both arrivals and shipping delays.

Additional duties may be assigned from time-to-time.
