LTL Coordinator

We are currently looking for a dynamic person for the position of LTL Coordinator for our Montreal office. Reporting to the General Manager, Montreal Operations, the LTL Coordinator will be responsible for the quality loading of LTL containers at partner sites in Quebec and Ontario to ensure operational standards are achieved.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Oversee the Quebec and Ontario LTL operations at partner sites to achieve an acceptable cube rate on all loading of containers and ensure timely departures from sites to Montreal terminal to meet the vessel departure schedules.
- Provide weekly reports to Oceanex management on LTL operations.
- Monitor LTL Agent for performance with respect to damage free handling, delivery and cube utilization and hold accountable when required.
- Identify any trends in cube utilization to either address the partner agent operations or suggest the review of specific customer agreements (exceptions).
- Control the usage of regular and logistic containers in an efficient manner.
- Maintain a good working relationship with our LTL partner.
- Work closely with the Claims Department in order to limit short and damaged shipments.
- Perform other duties assigned as assigned
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in LTL transport.
- Computer literate.
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- Travel will be required between Montreal and Mississauga (50% of the time)
