The location in Montréal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Project Manager, Asset Performance – Wood Products. This job is full-time permanent.

The position

Resolute is seeking a Project Manager, Wood Products. You will work closely with the heads of business segments to carry out performance enhancement projects and achieve operational objectives in order to develop more reliable and efficient production and maintenance capabilities. You will also take part in the harmonized digital transformation of facilities.

Reporting to the Director, Asset Performance – Wood Products, you will assume the following responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to development of the Resolute Performance System for the Wood Products division and implement standard operating procedures
  • Drive the adoption of best practices for asset management and performance and enable the digital transformation, including establishment of the organizational and support structure to achieve objectives
  • Take part in establishing the facilities’ strategic action plans to achieve performance objectives
  • Analyze management processes and systems to identify opportunities for performance improvement and develop an action plan
  • Implement the management system across the facilities to develop key management personnel and critical skills by working in collaboration with your peers
  • Strengthen the Lean Six Sigma skills at the site
  • Track the progression of activities in relation to objectives and report to site leadership and the central team
  • Benchmark best practices at the facilities and within the industry

The ideal profile

  • Safety-focused mindset
  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • Five to 10 years of experience in wood products
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change
  • Track record of execution and delivery of results from continuous improvement
  • Experience as a supervisor and influential leader
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance processes and reliability best practices
  • Experience in implementation of Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and SMED initiatives
  • Fluent English with French an asset
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time (mostly in Ontario and the United States)
