Senior Buyer

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join a renowned international ladies’ brand in Montreal!

Full time. Permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Create product collections for the Canadian region
• Collaborate with the head designer to bring product to life that meets Canadian market
• Oversee sales and trade , review opportunities and increase margin
• Oversee production of various categories as dresses, woven tops, skirts,
• Ensure strong knowledge of future trends
• Pursue fabric sourcing, elevate ranges,
• Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of market, supplier base
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of external trends,
• Provide feedback and recommendations to the corporate office
• Ensure all department financial parameters and targets are met
• Provide cost breakdowns, negotiate costs with suppliers, review margins across all categories

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience as a Senior buyer
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills
• Strong financial business acumen
• Ability to develop and lead a team
• In depth knowledge of fashion markets
• Experience working with design team
