Position Summary
The Director, Assessments, is responsible to build, develop, and lead a comprehensive medical assessment business in Quebec, to support the CloudMD’s vision, goals, and strategic priorities. Designs, directs, and supports strategic and operational plans around assessments and related activities that demonstrate program effectiveness.
Organizational Relationships
Reporting to the Vice-President, IME Assessments the Director, Assessments will manage the Assessment leaders, as well as working closely with diverse stakeholder groups across the organization, including operations, finance, IT, etc. The position will be responsible for an assigned business portfolio including (but not limited to) IME Assessments.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates strategic initiatives related to building the assessments business in Quebec and other regional markets as directed by the Vice-President, IME Assessments and the EVP, Health and Wellness Services
- Develops and establishes revenue and operating goals, policies, and procedures for the assessment business; this includes recommending and implementing processes and tactics to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency
- Leads the development, organization, analysis and reporting of assessment business performance outcomes and related activities to support planning activities
- Promotes internal and external communication of assessment results
- Collaborates with other leaders across CloudMD, including but not limited to the Assessments business, on sharing and implementing best practices, scaling opportunities etc.
- Provides strategic advice and consultation to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of modifications and enhancements to existing operations, systems and procedures
- Ensures compliance to all applicable provincial and federal regulatory standards, credentialing and legislation of the assessments business
Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in IME and Assessments
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or related field.
- Strong understanding of medical assessments, disability management, and related regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking, long-term planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of leading transformational change or post M&A integration experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of Canadian healthcare and insurance industry trends.

- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred
- Bilingual English and French is an asset
- 10+ years of sales and marketing experience with 5 years of demonstrated experience as a marketing leader or similar role
- Experience working with website content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and Hubspot
- Experience with e-mail marketing, CRM & marketing automation systems – Hubspot and Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Experience with design tools like Canva, InDesign and Illustrator
- Strong messaging and positioning skills to effectively draw in your target audience – ask great questions and uncover business and personal pain points quickly
- Focused on business and revenue impact – you can develop multi-touch campaigns that build overall demand for our services vs just collecting leads
- Full of positive energy and unstoppable in the face of obstacles – you problem-solve around them and always find another way to succeed
- A bias for action – you value insights and data, but don’t suffer from analysis paralysis; you’re eager to act based on your experience of what works and knowledge of best practice
