Reporting to the Manager, Pricing Analytics the main responsibilities of the Actuarial Analyst III are:

Model Monitoring:

• Calibration and Monitoring of multiple models developed by the team related to Property and Casualty Insurance

• Support business partners in different analyzes related to different statistical models
• Promote best practices related to the use of models and improve the development of users in understanding models
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity in order to support the culture of risk management by improving performance analysis tools
• Continually deepen knowledge of Insurance Industry practices across multiple disciplines
• Participate in the adoption of cloud-based analytical tools in Microsoft Azure
• Act as a subject matter expert in projects involving numerous departments such as Pricing, Project Accelerator, Data & Analytics, IT, etc.

Governance:

• Ensure an adequate level of governance, peer review, and challenge of the modelling process
• Review and challenge from TDBG Model Validation and Model Risk Management
• Lead the implementation of best practices, risk mitigation, risk controls as well as processes, policies, and procedures for the group, as well as other miscellaneous activities

Analytical/Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of an open-source programming language (R/Python) and/or modelling/machine learning techniques.
• Pricing experience is an asset.
• Ability to make good decisions quickly when the situation so requires.

What can you bring to TD? Tell us about your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these requirements and desired attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial science, or other quantitative area of study.
• Acquired or working towards Associateship with the Casualty Actuarial Society, Canadian Institute of Actuaries or equivalent is an asset
• Minimum 5 years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience or in a data science role.
• Bilingualism (Eng./Fr.) is considered a strong asset for this role.
