Job Description :

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :  

The analyst will use data from various reporting tools and databases to provide structured information in order to size the performance, highlight trends and bring forward opportunities. 

This information will be leveraged through analysis and new performance metrics via “storytelling” and dashboarding tools. 

The analyst will advise and assist the management team to identify and quantify potential benefits of the business performance. In addition, he will have to follow up on the initiatives put in place in order to assess their benefits.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Run analysis to support decision-making of executives and operational managers.

  • Participate in financial planning exercises as an expert in operational performance in order to validate and assess assumptions.

  • Build and recommend new metrics, in order to better align internal customers’ efforts with the company’s objectives .

  • Make the link between “operational performance” and “financial performance” through new measures, tools or reports.

  • Performs ad hoc ‘Deep Dive’ analysis and makes recommendations to support the performance management of operations and executives.

  • Produces profitability and cost/benefit analysis to assess specific opportunities.

  • Is interested in different tools that can help improve the efficiency and performance of their work.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance, accounting, mathematics / statistics or any other equivalent combination of training and experience.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years of experience. 

  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.

  • Experience doing cost/benefit and profitability models.

  • Knowledge of SQL / BigQuery language would be an asset.

  • Knowledge of the Google suite.

  • Experience in the revenue sector / subscriber statistics and performance indicators.

 

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

  • Comfortable interacting with members of the management team and executives.

  • Ability to connect the dots between business needs and technical functionalities.

  • Good team spirit and collaboration.

  • Strong skills in data analysis and translation of the data.

  • Organized and autonomous.

  • Very good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written.
