POSITION OVERVIEW Over the past few years, BDC has implemented various Business Intelligence solutions, including an on-premise self-service to improve the efficiency of users in the production of their reports, dashboards, and data analysis.

As part of the modernization of its analytical environment, BDC will, over the next few years, migrate business units to its next generation enterprise data cloud platform.

In this context, BDC is looking for a brilliant BI Senior Analyst who is motivated to develop a solid knowledge of BDC’s business domains and associated data, as well as technical aspects of Business Intelligence solutions, to deliver high-performance solutions supporting business partners in their data analysis and decision-making.

Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence and Data Platform, the candidate will be responsible for contributing to the management of the demand, as well as its delivery, according to the expectations of the business partners and the IT directives in terms of architecture, information security, etc.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET Lead sessions to collect and prioritize data analysis and publication needs with the owners of the various Business Intelligence solutions.

Contribute with architecture, information security, etc., groups to define optimal solutions meeting business requirements.

Perform data profiling and write functional specification documents and corresponding test strategies.

Support Data Integrators and Analysts during the build of Business Intelligence solutions.

Perform functional and quality assurance tests of the solutions developed and coordinate user acceptance testing activities.

Contribute to project management activities such as: defining the scope and estimating project efforts, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation measures, as well as escalating and communicating possible problems.

Analyze the impacts on Business Intelligence solutions of upcoming changes on source systems.

Contribute to the resolution of incidents.

Estimate the efforts to perform his/her tasks and make sure to complete them according to the commitments made in terms of schedule, content, quality, etc.

Follow up on tasks according to the procedures in place.

Perform other related tasks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience.

7 years of experience in functional analysis for Business Intelligence solutions.

Good working knowledge of SQL language and Microsoft SQLServer database.

Experience with methodologies and technologies related to Business Intelligence solutions in terms of architecture (Data Warehouse, Datamart ), data modeling (3-NF, Multidimensional ) and data visualization (Story telling…).

Asset: Working knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects and Microsoft PowerBI reporting and analysis tools.

Asset: Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter and Microsoft SSIS development tools.

Practical experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban…).

Ability to establish and communicate priorities effectively.

Excellent analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently, sense of initiative and good organizational skills.

Bilingual (French and English) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
