The Ceridian Tax and Payments Development team is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Systems Analyst to work with the development team to create industrys next generation of Tax and Financial products and service solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Senior Technical Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing market and technical requirements for implementing new software development projects.

They will collaborate with Business Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, Product Management, Developers, Technical Writers and Quality Assurance throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered.This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role.The ideal candidate will have a love of technology, they are a creative problem solver and a proactive agile learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience in technical analysis and solutions to business problems related to tax and or financial systems is a plus.Responsibilities:Analyze business processes and create technical requirements/acceptance criteria that describe how new software features and/or enhancements should function within the tax and payments areaDefine quality specifications, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirementsDesign, test and demonstrate the productWork with Business Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, Product ManagementAnalyze stakeholder feedback and collaborate with Product Owner to determine how requests fit into product developmentAssess risks and impacts on existing systems as new functions are added and identify potential technical problems or design flaws so that preventive action can be takenEnsure that issues and action items are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.Support user acceptance testing processes to ensure that product requirements are fully satisfiedCreate and deliver presentations to various internal/external users with varying levels of product knowledgeExhibit innovation in the development of new and improved methods or approaches to problemsHave an “I own it” attitude about deliverables and projects from start to finishProcess Improvements – participate as a SME in quality improvement projects; lead and support internal organizational change initiatives; recommend product enhancements that will benefit our clients or the managed support modelSeek out and embrace feedback, take on assignments that challenge and improve skillsQualifications:BS in Computer Science or relevant business domain or industry-related experienceExcellent written, communication and collaboration skillsUser Interface design experienceSQL experience; DB2 and MSSQL preferredExperience with microservicesExperience with cloud infrastructure5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or equivalentExperience working in an agile development environmentAdvanced knowledge of the software development lifecycles and methodologiesAdvanced experience interviewing business sponsors and other stakeholders to elicit and document scope and requirementsExperience in Agile Scrum methodologiesExperience mentoring other analysts
