Join us if you care to make a difference in healthcare.Job DescriptionInternally this position is called Client Infrastructure Specialist.PurposeThis is a position to work as part of a team to deploy complex applications remotely on Linux servers and Windows servers.

These applications are used by hospitals and radiology clinics to schedule patients, perform billing, archive digital images and provide the user community with access to this data across a WAN.

Specifically, this position entails configuration, deployment, and analysis of our PACS (picture archiving and communication system) software and RIS (Radiology Information System) software.

Your strong Linux administration skills will be of benefit to all of these tasks.

Windows Server administration, in terms of configuring users, network shares, and services is also needed.To minimize the inconvenience to our clients, this position occasionally requires working on weekends or outside of regular office hours.

After your initial training period, your hours will be flexible outside of core hours.In addition, you may be asked to assist in the management, configuration, and maintenance of our in-house server infrastructure.Responsibilities:PACS/RIS software deployment:Learn the PACS and RIS deployment process;Install and upgrade client sites and internal PACS/RIS installations in a reliable, timely, and non-disruptive manner;Help maintain the documentation (HowTo and others) and the associated procedures;Suggest improvements to the deployment process and participate in implementing them;Assist in training new staff in matters of PACS/RIS deployment;Perform 3rd level support in the areas of configuration changes and disaster recovery;Occasionally assist in deployment or related development tasks.QualificationsPre-requisites:Three years of professional work experience in Unix/Linux administration;A DEC or equivalent in a computer-related field;Strong Linux system administration skills;Strong Linux network administration skills;Experience with Windows Server (configuration of users, network shares, services);Perl, python and shell scripting experience;SQL and database experience;A university degree is a significant asset.Competencies:Excellent communication skills in both English and French (verbal and written);Team oriented;Attention to detail;Strong problem-solving skills;Reliable;Enjoys flexible working hours;Available for off-hours tasks.
