PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION Work on the design and development of SAP’s next generation customer engagement platform for Utilities.

EXPECTATION AND TASKS SAP, SAP Labs Canada, and Service Industries-Utilities Team SAP is the world’s largest supplier of enterprise management software with several development locations in Canada (Montreal, Waterloo, Toronto, and Vancouver).The Service Industries-Utilities team is part of Application Innovation CRM SD & SI Apps Unit and is responsible for developing concepts and new business applications for the Utilities industry, e.g.

SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities and Public Sector.

The Internship or Temporary Position The intern will be part of a scrum team whose focus is to deliver a customer engagement platform for Utilities.

The team also aims to deliver consumer facing apps, including Web and mobile that are developed using the platform.

The intern is expected to work on a variety of interesting topics including cloud and mobility and Web.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Designing and developing new features and improving existing ones Testing and bug fixing Participating in design and code reviews Documenting Researching topics assigned to the team and prototyping SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Hands-on experience with object-oriented design and development experience with Java Experience with Web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery Good practical knowledge of REST Web services, OData, and the new Web technologies (Web 2.0) Very good English language communication skills, verbal and written Desirable: experience with source code versioning tools such as GIT.

Desirable: knowledge of enterprise management software EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (Degrees, Class Completion, etc.) Undergraduate student (2nd or 3rd year), master’s student, or new graduate Software engineering, computer engineering, or computer science QUALIFICATIONS Internship for undergrads or short-term contract with SAP Labs Canada.
