About the OpportunityThis position is accountable to be the financial support for the operations team on quantifying operational KPIs and assisting the operations team to meet financial targetsPerform shop floor walks, usually together with plant management, to support financial calculations of the shop floor issues and improvement ideasProvide weekly reports on direct labor efficiency, weekly deviations from plan for costs and headcount, and all other reports required by plant managementSupport operational departments in translating processes and KPIs into financial numbersMaintain production part costs throughout the program life and come with ideas to improveMaintain management status reports for product design & development (PDD) costs, production parts, prototypes, tooling and pre-production costs for assigned programsReview and approve all cost changes that are made to drive master files that affect program costsMember of the cross functional team (CFT) for designated programs, and responsible that all financial activities on these programs, as reflected in the Financial Panel charts, are well managed.

These activities include, Product Design & Development (PDD) costs, production parts, tooling, prototypes, pre-production costs and program specific capitalDevelop fiscal program sales and cost of sales budgets based on Magna planning volumesDevelop business case for new programs together with Financial AnalystsMaintain Cost Reduction RoadmapsMinimal travel as requiredPerform other duties as requiredAbout YouCompletion of community college diploma/certificate3 to less than 5 years of work-related experiencePrevious experience in the manufacturing industry preferredCommunicates EffectivelyFocused on Continuous ImprovementDetail oriented and excellent analytical skillsExcellent MS Excel skillsUnderstanding of production / assembly processesAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentAble to manage deadlines with minimal supervisionInterpersonal and organizational skillsSalary$70,000
