PSP – Recreation Leader

This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted January 7, 2022.

Our recreation leaders work in multiple fun positions in various locations and program formats ranging from weekly classes to day camps.

In each program, you will have the opportunity to lead activities that help our community members learn new skills and make social connections.

You will be working mainly with (preschoolers, children, youth, adults and seniors) in this position.

You will be leading (arts and crafts, fitness and wellness, performing arts, sports and outdoor adventure) activities.

You will get experience designing recreational programs, teaching and leading individuals and groups while ensuring a healthy and safe environment.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma (OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered) Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications A valid driver’s license (Province), an asset HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children Experience In working with children In programming activities for children In leading children in activities In ensuring safety protocols and procedures Competencies, Skills and Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS English Essential / Bilingual an asset Reading: None Writing: None Oral: Functional BENEFITS AVAILABLE Work Life Balance: Vacation pay.
