This is your opportunity to help us deliver on our customers’ promises.SummaryThe Repair Shop Foreman directs activities related to the mechanical and body repair shop, in order to achieve the operating objectives, in accordance with general guidelines, within the budget established each year with the RFM Functions: Staff management In collaboration with the RFM: selection, integration, promotion, disciplinary, dismissal, etc.

Motivation, development, improvement, teamwork and performance evaluation of staff under his/her authority Safety, prevention and accident investigation Coordination of work in the workshop Coordination and assignment of work orders to technicians Communication with technicians on deadlines, additional repairs and monitoring of work in progress Communication withTeam Leaders of other work shifts/shop to monitor repairs (work) in progress Management of workshop duties Truck repairs and maintenance The application of manufacturers’ repair procedures Monitoring of warranty procedures in the workshop in order to meet the standard times of manufacturers Progress of work in progress The clarity and detailed explanation of the Complaint / Cause / Correction reports Identification of replaced parts, which can be returned to manufacturers Support to technicians for problematic repairs Communication of technical bulletins A periodic information meeting on subjects of interest to technicians (Stand up meeting) Quality control Compliance with the directives and procedures of the various manufacturers/Purolator The quality of the repairs Understanding and monitoring the reworks Budget control The profitability of the work carried out Respect for fixed times The reduction of lost time (indirect labor) according to the established standard as well as the monitoring of technicians’ times and punches Customer satisfaction The differentiation of customer service by the high quality of the workshop products and services The preparation of repair estimates requested Work Orders invoicing process The establishment of performance standards to ensure the quality of services and the achievement of objectives Maintaining, communicating and applying ISO Norms Workshop equipment Supply of tools and equipment for technicians Maintenance and cleanliness of tools and equipment Safe use of tools and equipment Documentation of breakage and damage Support for the RFM Recommendations for the preparation and implementation of an annual action plan for the workshop Periodic monitoring of the budget established annually The evaluation of the performance of the workshop against the previously set objectives and standards and the taking of corrective measures, if necessary Qualifications Required for the position: Education: College diploma or equivalent A minimum of 3 years of experience in the supervision / coaching of staff A minimum of 8 years of experience in warranty repair techniques and procedures for various heavy vehicle manufacturers Valid G or class 3 Truck driver’s license Good knowledge of computer systems Organization, planning, rigor Teamwork, motivation Relational skills (communication, listening, persuasion, respect, openness) Interpersonal skills (empathy, discernment, conflict management, credibility, cooperation, confidentiality) Professionalism and courtesy Problem solving, decision making POSTING DETAILSLocation: 373 OttawaWorking Conditions: Environnement de bureau; Environnement de dépôt Purolator is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
