Primary Responsibilities: Analyze the product and identify the best automation approach for the platform Be able to develop automated tests in Java using Selenium, utilizing IDEs such as IntelliJ or EclipseAdd validations to automated tests from REST APIs, DB, logs, email and other sourcesOwn the testing and automation approach for your team, including framework enhancementsDeploy services in various environments using Kubernetes, and deployment tools like Spinnaker, JenkinsMonitor applications and DBs using SumoLogic, VividCortexAnalyze user stories and successfully identify test scenarios that are relevant to the business Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesHelp grow the team by participating in recruitment activities Secondary Responsibilities: Assist developers with unit testing what to cover/avoid and how to effectively test componentsIdentify chances of code refactoring in order to make the product more suitable for automation, for example, assign unique IDs to elements in a webpageBe able to contribute to the continuous integration process, including maintenance of Kubernetes environments and service configurationsCreate automation jobs using Jenkins DSL, track Code Coverage resultsImprove efficiency of existing test infrastructure using Docker Selenium and headless browser executionsDesign performance testing suites for microservices, using tools like Gatlin Skills: Java, Selenium, Webdriver, TestNG, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Spinnaker, SQL, REST Assured, SumoLogic, Docker, Kubernetes, Gatling, Basic Linux Benefits/Perks: Downtown office location Square VictoriaComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, & visionUnlimited vacation policyKitchen stocked with beverages, snacks & treats In office game rooms (ping pong, foosball, pool) and abundance of informal lounge spaceCatered lunch every ThursdayMonthly social gatherings We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
