They will ensure the best-in-class quality of our translated editorial content, in line with SSENSE guidelines, quality standards and fast turnaround times.

The ideal candidate has an inquisitive mindset, masters the French language and is driven to deliver relevant content for our Korean audience.ResponsibilitiesTranslation 90%Translate the SSENSE editorial content (articles, interviews, etc.), including related PR, external communications, or social media content, and any other ad hoc requests from English to KoreanAssist in writing, implementing and updating tone, approach, and stylistic guidelines for the Korean editorial channelMaintain strict standards of quality control to ensure content is consistent, accurate, and properly adaptedExecute on content strategies for ad-hoc requests and projectsMaintain a rigorous publishing schedule that meets deadlines, frequency, and quality targetsContent development 10%Assist the Associate Manager of Korean Content and Lead Editor with content innovation and workflow development initiativesStay up-to-date on SSENSE processes, point of view, and creative directionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Korean Literature, Journalism, Translation or related experience with a focus on literary translationA minimum of 5 years experience in English-Simplified Korean translation and adaptation, ideally in an agency or as part of a content team in a high-volume publishing environmentSuperior research skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and business tools such as SlackMastery of Simplified Korean grammar, spelling, and usage including ability to craft culturally-sensitive textsSkillsDetail-oriented and versatile writerAbility to multitask and manage project priorities to meet deadlinesMicrositeCreative and agile thinker who is self-motivated and collaborativeDemonstrated knowledge of fashion, pop culture, and contemporary art and designAbility to articulate and present creative ideas
