A Product Owner at Thinkwell Studio Montreal takes the lead in many areas of product development.

The Product Owner is the key person between stakeholders and the development teams.

Having a strong vision of the product and the business goals, the Product Owner will contribute to management, engineering, creative and development teams to define a roadmap, prioritize and anticipate needs, oversee the development stages and make sure the product answers the quality and client needs.

Responsibilities Product vision & comprehension Work alongside our engineering and architect team to deliver product roadmap Keeps product in line with business goals Communicates with stakeholders to understand business objectives Prioritizes Needs With the producer, juggles scope, budget, and time to prioritize projects Considers needs and objectives of stakeholders Make strong product and prioritization decisions that are aligned with project goals Anticipating Client Needs Understands and anticipates client needs to manage the development process Creates customer journey maps, wireframes, Epics and User Stories Managing the Product Backlog Prioritizes items based on overall strategy Creates a list of backlog items Overseeing Development Stages Contributes to the planning, execution, and review of each sprint Works with team to refine and improve the development process Acting as Primary Liaison Gains buy-in from stakeholder Delivers clear instructions to the lead developers Evaluating Product Progress Accountable for each stage of the development process Define test plans, create test scripts, and complete product specific quality assurance testing Inspects and evaluates product progress through each iteration Validate beta products/features with lead customers prior to product releases Define and implement Key Performance Indicators/success indicators and then track and communicate them Requirements 5+ years’ experience in a similar product role Demonstrated success in releasing products that meet and exceed business objectives.

Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills, possibly including some user interface documentation skills.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams is especially important.

Background in management, software development and analysis.

Experience with the technical component of a release and be the liaison between the technical and product team.

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Professional and ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment Understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies is an asset.

Possesses critical thinking, conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities in a high-pressure environment is crucial; Experience working with API integrations valuable Experience working with Cloud platforms valuable Data driven, familiarity with data visualization tools and the structures behind them
