TORLYS is hiring an experienced Builder Specialist for the Grand Montreal Region.

Overview:Under the leadership of the General Manager for the Quebec Region, the Builder Specialist is responsible for selling company products to achieve the Quebec Region’s annual Sales Budget.

The Builder Specialist is focused on developing profitable relationships with TORLYS clients (builders, architect and design, general contactors, property management and dealers), while continuing to maintain a professional image for the Company.

Role Responsibilities:Achieve and exceed team’s sales quota and objectivesDevelop, maintain contact client base (builders, arhitect and design community, general contractors, property management firms and dealers), on a prompt and regular basis to ensure excellent customer satisfaction, strong relationships, and create business for TORLYSSeek market information on market conditions, competitive products, services and pricing, to share with team membersManage client expectations and handle issues and complaints professionallySell and demonstrate TORLYS and TORLYS products, using samples, catalogues, tailored power point presentations, to emphasize saleable features to clients and secure business for TORLYSPrepare weekly reports of business highlights and communicate weekly to the General ManagerMaintain accurate records including sales call reports, expense reimbursements forms, billing invoices and other documentationIdentify new/prospective clients by using industry business directories, websites, TORLYS purchased market research information, following leads from existing clients, participating in industry organizations/associations and attending related trade shows and conferencesTeam Player – supports and works in collaboration with Quebec & GTA Builder teams to grow sales (i.E.

participation in joint sales presentations / sample drop offs / attending industry events)Follow company guidelines when it comes to Health & Safety, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all timesSupports other business activities led by Quebec Region General Manager QualificationsFluent in French and English, both written and verbalSecondary School or a University Degree/College Diploma a definite assetMinimum of 3 years sales experience required, flooring and or builder industry experience an assetHigh level of integrity and work ethicDemonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotasProfessional demeanor, selling style, and appearanceSolid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory managementSuccess in qualifying builder opportunities involving multiple key decision makersStrong problem identification and objection resolution skillsAble to build and maintain lasting relationships with customersSelf-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasmAbility to work individually and as part of a teamProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerpointValid driver’s license and passport requiredExperience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software an asset Working Conditions & RequirementsRole involves working some evenings and weekendsFrequent travel required to meet clients/dealers, conduct demonstrations, attend meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.Position requires set-up of displays, which involves a certain amount of physical effortOccasional lifting, up to 50 lbs.
