POSITION OVERVIEW Under the responsibility of the AVP, Talent, Diversity and Inclusion, the Director, Talent Planning and Acquisition is responsible for developing the talent planning, acquisition and selection strategies and directing their efficient implementation.

You are responsible for the team’s performance and constantly ensure that business needs and talent acquisition activities are aligned in order to optimize the satisfaction of internal partners and the candidate experience.

Finally, you plan and manage the employer brand visibility and promotion activities to make the company shine in the eyes of potential candidates, thus promoting the attraction and retention of talent.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET Lead the design of the workforce planning approach and tools.

Collaborate with the HRBP team, the business and the Finance team in the process to properly identify and consolidate the organization’s needs and translate them into talent acquisition action plans.

Adopt innovative strategies for acquiring talent, including headhunting approaches, based on workforce planning needs and ensuring that talent pools with the desired skills and competencies are available at the time of choice.

Develop an annual visibility plan for the BDC employer brand and apply best practices to increase the overall appeal of the brand and more specifically attract quality specialized candidates.

Develop talent attraction and sourcing strategies specifically to increase the diversity of our talent pools, including managing relationships with key community partners.

Conduct a rigorous and continuous monitoring of market trends and propose strategies to maintain our competitive edge.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with key service providers and ensure the quality of service delivery.

Manage and coach a team of professionals to be talent acquisition experts, value-add partners to the business and BDC brand ambassadors.

Establish key performance indicators, monitor results and propose continuous improvements to ensure the best leader and candidate experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 15 years of human resources experience, including 5 in talent acquisition 3 to 5 years of team management experience In-depth knowledge of the markets and labour challenges of the financial services industry The ability to understand quickly business strategies, analyze the needs and propose concrete solutions in response Planning, work organization and a constant focus on improving performance and efficiency Leadership and know-how to build buy-in to the proposed solutions and rally the team around common goals An ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization Mastery of proactive recruitment and attraction methods and an excellent understanding of all digital acquisition channels Bilingualism (French and English) EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER At BDC, we value diversity in our workforce and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
